Connect for Success is a networking opportunity for you to meet other small business owners and entrepreneurs person to person.

Local community leaders offer advice to help you grow your business and tips on how to effectively network and develop your elevator pitch during the “Speed Networking” session. 

The two hour event sponsored by Del Norte Credit Union and SCORE Santa Fe & Northern New Mexico at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center gives you the opportunity to meet and mingle after two years of virtual events. Enjoy light refreshments, while practicing networking tips and developing your pitch with peers and new acquaintances in the Ballroom of the Scottish Rite Masonic Center.

Meet the Presenters:

Bette Bradbury, Regional Director of New Mexico, WESST

Before coming to WESST in 1992, Bette spent over 18 years in advertising and marketing with national companies, serving as Senior Marketing Executive for Kay Jewelers, B Dalton Booksellers and Henry Birks Jewelers. Bette is the author of WESST’s award-winning Perfect Pitch™ curriculum. Bette boasts particular pride in transitioning professional skills from the for-profit world to the non-profit world.

Liz Camacho, Economic Development & Communications Administrator, City of Santa Fe

Liz joined Santa Fe’s Office of Economic Development in 2018. Prior to her life as a public servant, she spent over a decade as a communication strategist. She helped connect brands to culture through a variety of projects such as Nissan, Absolut, Dove Chocolate, Nivea, and Emergen-C in places like Europe, Russia, the US, and Latin America. Over the last five years, she has used her market research, communication, and moderating skills to better understand and articulate residents’ and businesses’ vision for Santa Fe. She has helped on projects such as Midtown, the Food Sector, and strengthening the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem. If you have a curious mind, an empathetic heart, and can make sense of data, Economic Development is the place for you.

Debbie Collins, Assistant Director, SBDC

Debbie is a Certified Business Advisor at the Santa Fe Small Business Development Center (SBDC). Debbie joined the SBDC in 2006 following five years as Program Manager at the Santa Fe Business Incubator. With a 20-year career in commercial banking and SBA lending in Southern California, she came well prepared to work with small businesses in New Mexico. Debbie specializes in budgeting, loan proposal packages, record keeping, banking, and financing as well as long term mentoring. Although not formally trained in HR, marketing, layout, and graphic design, she does have real world experience in these areas.

Sayuri Yamada, Past Chair, Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce

Sayuri, Executive Director of Government and Public Affairs for PNM, is responsible for government affairs, corporate social responsibility, PNM Resources Foundation, community relations and stakeholder engagement. As a policy strategist, her efforts have resulted in major legislative impact. Most recently, she helped lead the utility’s paradigm shift into clean energy. Ms. Yamada currently serves as a board member of Anchorum St. Vincent, CHRISTUS St. Vincent Hospital, New Mexico Chamber of Commerce, and University of Idaho Energy Executive Course. She is the past chair of the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce and the New Mexico Chamber of Commerce and past board member of the Santa Fe Preparatory School.

Lea Ann Knight, CFP®, Managing Partner, Financial Planning for Better Money Decisions (B$D)

With her background in investing and financial planning, Lea Ann enjoys working closely with clients to design and implement customized financial plans. Over the past 30 years Lea Ann has helped women navigate change. Marriage, divorce, widowhood or retirement can have a profound financial and personal effect on one’s life. Understanding the whole picture, not just the investment portfolio, is why she is passionate about working with others.

Jodi Morris, Founder & CEO, Connecting Growth Globally
